2006 Conference on Contemporary Pagan Studies

Paganism in Public Spaces: Social, Legal and Political Interactions

November 17th, 2006

Washington Convention Center - 140B

CCPS was held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Religion. This year we had 48 people attend CCPS. The sessions went well and all of the presenters did a great job.
This year we focused on contemporary Pagan interaction in the public sphere. Pagans do not exist in a vacuum. They interact daily with other people as individuals, as part of larger public institutions and as the "public". These interactions can provide opportunities for understanding, misunderstanding, or apathy.
